happens every time I start using computer. sometimes after dragging window to usable size, later pages open OK, and sometimes not.

previous questioner got these responses :

You may have a corrupt localstore.rdf file.
The localstore.rdf file is no longer used in Firefox 34 and later releases and has been replaced by xulstore.json.

questioner then said "Suddenly, the situation cured itself, and I still don't know what caused it. "

so there was not a resolution of the problem. (I am ignorant and would not know what to do about xulstore.json, whatever that is.)

Try to rename (or delete) the xulstore.json file in the Firefox profile folder.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

thanks for replying. The page-size problem disappeared before I tried your solution, so I'm OK.

(I tried it anyway but didn't know how to rename or delete that xulstore.json -- fyi, it said the file was last modified 1/316, in case that means anything to you)

again, I appreciate your help.
