short question: how do you make or redirect to, custom error pages within firefox version 8?

verbose version:

we use a transparent proxy, if the browser is configured to use this proxy, custom error pages defined within the proxy service work as expected.

If you do not configure the proxy server within the browser and rely on the intercept, DNS and related error pages come from within Firefox itself, not the proxy.

I'd like to have firefox load an internal page instead of its pre-defined error page. how may i do this within firefox 8?

i found lots of how-to's for previous versions but the paths and files they reference don't appear to be in version 8.

thanks for your time with this, greg
