Hello, I need help with Firefox Sync. I want to connect Firefox on my Windows computer with Firefox on my mobile phone and synchronize my Firefox data between them. I already have Firefox installed on my computer, and I want to make sure that my bookmarks, passwords, history, open tabs, and other Firefox data are synchronized correctly. Please explain the correct steps to connect my devices and set up Firefox Sync safely. I would also like to know if I need to sign in with the same Firefox account on both devices. Thank you.

I'm planning on using Firefox on a shared device (Windows 11 with common login shared with other people), however, I'm concerned that signing into my Firefox account and syncing the passwords will create a local folder on the shared device with the passwords on my Firefox account.

Is there a way to NOT have the passwords stored locally on the shared device? Or will the passwords be deleted from the shared device everytime I sign out from the Firefox browser?

If this is not possible on the current version of Firefox, are there any plans to implement it? Chrome can delete the locally stored passwords after signing out.

Hello, I always open a large number of tabs in Firefox for Android, and then send them to my synced Firefox on Windows. Since sending many tabs takes a long time, I would like to ask you to please add a progress percentage indicator while the tabs are being sent. This would let me know exactly when the transfer of the synced tabs has finished. Thank you very much

It seems the sync server is keeping deleted passwords record placeholders ... for ever?? what is the point of this? User tracking?

he same with the credit card records BUT not eg bookmarks.

(server records as I can see using the about:sync extension..)

I recently bought a Samsing Galaxy S 26. Everything transferred well from my old S20. Also Firefox except for bookmarks. When you press the bookmrk icon you do not get access to the bookmarks of the computer, as in the old phone, but an image of a fox and the recommendation to keep all your bookmarks togther. There is no way foreard from this. The three dots do not respond.

I am getting a new Laptop, also a DELL as is this PC, both will be using Windows 11. I did this with the last HP laptop. I somehow installed Firefox on that old one automatically. Please give a list of the method to easily do this on the new machine. It seemed to look at the Firefox running on the PC and got all the data it needed to install on the new Laptop.
