Hi Firefox Help Team…
When I want to access my Router individual IP addresses I need to input URL 192.168.1.xxxx via my Mac Firefox.
For some reason Firefox now insists on adding https in front and consequently it will NOT connect. Previously it was happy to leave it as http.
I have checked as much as I can and cannot find the reason that Firefox is adding https.
I also have a Windows version of Firefox and this still works correctly.
On my Mac, Safari also works correctly when input 192.168.1.xxxx.
I have tried many things, turning off extensions, etc. but nothing helps. Finally I have de-installed Firefox completely from my iMac Pro and re-installed a completely new version, but this does not help either.
When I enter URL 192.168.1.xxxx I receive the message:
Unable to connect
An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.1.114.
The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.
Any ideas please?
Kind regards, Colin
