It went away for a while but now it is back. When I select the text it usually (but not always) resolves. However it is a pain to keep stopping to do that.

I've tried the existing fixes but they either don't work or stop working after applied.

I've been using Thunderbird for years to access my gmail account through my ieee alias. Sometime after 4/2/2025 my login fails with the message "Login to server imap.googlemail.com....failed". I've tried changing the imap server to "imap.gmail.com" but get similar results. For some reason, it appears that something changed on 4/3 that prevents a successful login to the gmail server from Tbird. I have both Tbird and gmail configured for OAuth2. On my Win PC, the version 102.15.1 (32-bit) Thunderbird Inbox Message Preview Pane headers are double spaced and takes up 1/3 of the bottom right pane. I have many email accounts listed to left, message lists to top right and Message Preview Pane at bottom right. I want the headers to be single spaced instead of the default double space so this part of window takes less space and allows for more items to be seen in message list at top.

What setting in Advance Config controls the spacing? Previous versions did not have this double spacing, as I recall. I know that the pane can be moved lower but that defeats the purpose of having it there to see first part of message content.

I am using Thunderbird on a Win 10 PC, with Bitdefender AV. Thunderbird crashes shortly after opening, generally within a few, say 10s. Crash reports are generated and sent.

The crashes continue when safe mode is used. Nothing else seems to be affected.

In the past, to update the mail on another computer I simply copied the profile folder. But the new installation is now version 137.0.1 and the profile structure is very different. How do I bring the accounts and all existing mail to my new computer?

I have just downloaded Thunderbird for the purpose of importing .mbox file from Google Takeout. It worked with the ImportExportTools NG add-on.

Since I liked the app, I decided to add my other e-mail accounts. The initial account I added looks to be working as intended.

However, on all of the other accounts, which are outlook.com and hotmail.com accounts, "No messages found" is said on the inbox and they are all essentially dead. The login process worked fine and so on, but then nothing happens. I've tried to look at the various settings, but I can't figure it out. It's all the same as the main account, to my eye.

I am on Mac Sequoia 15.3.2.

Can I add the word "stegys" as a synonym for "attached" ? This is the Cornish word for attached. Alternatively, if I add the Thunderbird Cornish dictionary, would Thunderbird warn me when it finds "stegys" in the text. I already have an excellent Cornish dictionary extension for Libre Office, and as such it seems overkill to add a second dictionary as I can spell check text in Writer and then paste it into Thunderbird. So adding a synonym would be my preferred option.

Oh, woe is me. I had both Thunderbird and Firefox open on my desktop, and thought I was typing into Firefox's address bar. But Thunderbird was actually 'live' (selected?) on the desktop, so that's where my keystrokes went. Not sure what I typed or where the cursor was, but suddenly I have two folders in the left Thunderbird pane that I can't figure out how to get rid of. They are both just above my Local Folders: Templates and Archives folders for one email account, and an Archives for another. All three folders are empty (Archives had "2025" subfolders, but I was able to delete those). Keyboard strokes generated these, but they don't delete. What can I do? Can I navigate with Windows Explorer to where these folders actually reside and delete them there? I sure don't want to mess anything up. Many thanks in advance!

How to recover INBOX & Sent messages from 3 Comcast email addresses from Acronis True Image 2020 Backup?

Had issues with Comcast emails. They were set up with POP settings. Was on the phone with Comcast and uninstalled 3 email addresses and reinstalled using IMAP settings. I did not delete the message data leaving that box unchecked. After about 1.5 hours on the phone with Comcast was able to get the reinstalled Comcast email addresses to pull all of the emails off Comcast website. But there are emails that are missing from each of the inbox and sent folders for each of the 3 Comcast email addresses.

I do an incremental weekly backup using Acronis True Image 2020 Home Edition. I see the folders in the path but since they were saved last Saturday under POP settings, the backups I will need to try to recover are in 3 of the Comcast folders in the "MAIL" folder and not "IMAPMAIL" folder which listed 6 folders from imap.comcast1.net through imapcomcast6.net.

What do I need to copy from the correct Comcast folder called "Profile" where the izpoojy7.default is? Within this izpoojy7.default is the folder mail.comcast-1.net which has 1 of the 3 Comcast email addresses I need to recover the inboxes and sent folder emails. Please see the attached photo of the contents of this mail.comcast-1.net folder.

Do I just copy the Inbox.mozmsgs as well as the Sent.mozmsgs files? Or do I also need to recover more of the files within the respective mail.comcast-1.net folder? Thank you for any assistance you can offer on this matter.
