FF crashes randomly, sometimes every couple pages.
Sometimes it will crash when opening the browser - Bing is my start page. I have the latest version of everything and have all updates installed. I turned off most all extensions etc.

you have probably already discovered that the corresponding bug report mentions convenanteyes & that a .dll file of this filter software plays a part in this crash.
at the moment there will probably be no other solution than to disable or remove this software in order for the crashes to stop. you could also try contacting the support of covenanteyes with your system details and information about this crash...
