I have been using Thunderbird for many years and on my desktop PC the inbox display has never changed. I also have a laptop that has the email account that has the same display. Yesterday the laptop did some type of Window 10 update changes occurred. Many of my application icons disappeared and when I opened Thunderbird the screen layout had changed. There is only one column with massages and the cant be sorted by sender of date etc. Have you changed the program and, if so, why doe it not change on my desktop but become very inefficient on a laptop. I run Thunderbird on a PC, and, to free up space on Drive C:, I have moved the contents of the folder Thunderbird in Appdata to Drive D:. I then changed my Server Settings, in Thunderbird, from C: to D:, and note that any new mail is indeed now appearing there along with those already transferred. This move could save me a valuable 6 gig of space, and more in the future, however, I am unable to remove that original Thunderbird folder entirely, notably I am unable to remove the contents of the Profiles folder, as it is still linked to the application. Notably with cookies.sqlite, cookies.sqlite-shm, store.json, mozlz4, aborted-session-ping and many others, which I note some have continued to be updated. I have been unable to find any other settings in Thunderbird referring to Drive C:, other than those in Server Settings.

I could presume that if I installed another version of Thunderbird on Drive D: and maybe moved those existing contents of the Thunderbird folder on C: onto Drive D:, and made those numerous settings changes to the App it could work. But I ask is there an easier way to complete this move? How can I complete this transition of Thunderbird from Drive C: to Drive D:?

I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 24.04. I also migrated from using Thunderbird via snap to installing and running it via Flatpak.

As a result, the Thunderbird icon on the dock now shows the normal logo with an annoying green circle with the number "1" in white text on top. I have uploaded the image.

This suggests there is one new message but that is not the case - whether there are 0 new messages or 10 new messages, the icon in the dash does not change.

How can I return to the original Thunderbird icon?

I have checked the org.mozilla.Thunderbird.desktop file which is located in /usr/share/applications and and it says:

Icon=thunderbird StartupWMClass=thunderbird-esr

However, I have no idea where the thunderbird icon is located and how to replace it with my own .png file. I cannot find the current icon file anywhere.

Does anyone know how to replace the current icon with my own icon or with the original Thunderbird icon?

Since I have been using Firefox Android from S7 Edge to this S23+ it will not follow system settings for dark mode. If I set it to light mode it's always in light mode. if I set it to dark mode it stays in dark mode, no matter what the system setting.

If I visit the same webpage twice in the Firefox browser, Firefox no longer shows the first webpage visit in the Library > History window. In this window, I would like for Firefox to show all visits to a webpage. In this case it should show both the first and second visits to the webpage, with timestamps to indicate the times of each visit.

Is there any configuration that I can make to Firefox that can achieve this?

I use Firefox on my Mac Mini. For some unknown reason, when my Firefox home page has changed from opening as a full screen view to a small box in the upper right part of my screen. Then I have to change it to the full screen view. I would like to find out how to get it changed back to always opening with a full screen view, please. Also, why is there no customer service phone number posted? Some of us prefer phone support, rather than typing questions and hoping someone knows the answer and takes time to respond.

I can't find sometimes very important replies to my emails because they are filed not in the chronological order in which they arrive in my computer but are connected in the group of the original Subject. How can I change that? Thank you. info@rebel.gr PS. I use Win11

I use the latest Thunderbird email client 128.2.2esr (64-bit). Microsoft announced that to make it work with outlook all users have to make changes in settings for more security. I did all that they wrote and can receive emails on my .......@outlook.com email address, but I can't send emails due to absence of authentication setting for outgoing server. I attached screenshots FYI. Is it possible to fix this issue? It's required to add authentication setting for outgoing server.

Linux Mint 22(Cinnamon) Firefox 130.0.1 64bit Mint-001 - 1.0 Dual monitors My workflow depends on speed/accesibilty For this reason my habit is for Thunderbird to open on right hand mnitor (Primary Monitor) When I click a link in Thunderbird to open the conversation etc, it opens that link in the left hand monitor (secondary monitor)

(I recently moved back to Firefox following a time in brave browser.) I can no longer get the above procedure to work. Thunderbird opens as normal, but Firefox insists on opening the link in the same monitor as Thunderbird (primary)......this is messy, slow and defeats the purpose of having two monitors. I reluctantly switched back to brave.....and immediately the link would begin opening in the secondary monitor. I have combed the Firefox Settings to no avail. A friend suggested the answer may lie in the ""firefox registry"...if there is such a thing?... about:firefox ?? I have zero idea how to access that if it does exist

Used to be my Homepage was set to Yahoo.com as my Firefox browser. Lately after putting my computer to sleep and I wake up the computer and click on the Firefox Icon on my desktop it wakes up with Hong Kong Yahoo web page and everything is in Chinese. My Windows region is set to the U.S. and Canada, and the Time zone to central mountain time. Nothing has changed there. There are no new favorites, I cleared the history and the cache, and now I get nothing BUT Hong Kong Yahoo and everything is in Chinese when I want to go to Yahoo to log into my mail account. I have now switched to microsoft Edge to get my mail, and will soon dump Firefox if I can migrate my favorites to Edge and this problem persists.

Hi. Is there a way to add travel time to an appointment just like you can do in google or apple calendar? It’s a great feature. When I add an adres to my appointment Apple calendar will automatically add the travel time by car from my home to the destination. I miss that feature in Thunderbird.

Having trouble interconnecting between two different BMO sites. Account on one site is "linked" to the other site, but when I click on the linked account I always get an error page. Checking in settings, could this be caused by the "cross site cookies"? (I usually "forget" cookies on a regular basis, so maybe not?)

I had dark mode enabled with a theme, the same theme I use on another computer, but on this computer it was making a lot of web pages dark too which is incredibly annoying and hard to read. I changed the theme on this computer to a light theme and the tabs/upper bar turned light but web pages are still dark so I'm not sure how to stop it. My computer is in light mode as well.

Disabling either the "Allow Firefox to send technical and interaction data to Mozilla" or the "Allow Firefox to install and run studies" options under the Privacy & Security settings page break all of my homelab SSL certificates using Let's Encrypt and breaks the tab/card preview functionality. The only way for these to work is to leave both options enabled. Disabling either one breaks both of those.

When they are disabled the card preview just doesn't work. The Let's Encrypt-backed self-hosted services are a bit different. I get a warning that the pages are insecure, and if I click the Advanced button to continue (sometimes it is there and sometimes it is not) I get looped back to the same insecure page with no way to accept or proceed.

Things I've tried: - Disabled all Add-Ons - Deleted/reverted all modified settings in about:config - Firefox Refresh - Uninstalled/cleared cache directories/reinstalled - Deleted my whole Mozilla account and recreated, thinking it was a bad setting being synced

This is not an issue on Firefox for Android seemingly. This started on my laptop first a few weeks ago, I don't remember changing either of those privacy settings at the time but I may have.
