This morning, my email Inbox is empty. I use Thunderbird for four email accounts, and three of them are fine, but the fourth one has an empty Inbox this morning. I didn't (intentionally, anyway) move the emails anywhere, and they do appear to be in the All Mail folder, so I didn't lose them entirely. But I keep my emails mostly in my Inbox and they aren't there anymore.

Any ideas what happened to make them disappear and how I can get them back to the Inbox?

Je sollicite votre aide concernant la restauration de dossiers de messagerie dans Thunderbird.

Contexte : Le problème est survenu suite à un glisser-déposer par erreur d'un dossier (et ses sous-dossiers) depuis ma boîte nominative (IMAP) vers une boîte mail générique partagée. Le dossier a disparu de l'interface Thunderbird et du Webmail, mais la arborescence physique existe toujours sur mon disque.

Détails techniques :

Dans Paramètres des comptes > Dossiers locaux, le Répertoire local pointe sur : C:\Users\sojanati\messagerie\Mail

Dans ce répertoire, je retrouve la structure sous forme de dossiers .sbd (comme INBOX.sbd) ainsi que des fichiers d'index .msf.

Cependant, les sous-dossiers et leur contenu n'apparaissent pas dans l'interface Thunderbird sous Dossiers locaux.

Comment puis-je forcer Thunderbird à réindexer ces dossiers .sbd ou récupérer les messages associés ?

Vor ein paar Tagen konnte keine Verbinung mehr zu AOL Server aufgenommen werden und es fand keine synchronisierung mehr statt. Ich habe mein AOL Konto in Thunderbird gelöscht und wollte es neu hinzufügen. Der Dialog zum Hinzufügen eines e-Mail-Kontos startet, ich gebe meine AOL Mailadresse ein, die Standard-E-Mail-Einstellungen werden angezeigt (mit Authorisierung OAuth2), das AOL Anmeldeverfahren wird gestartet, meine AOL Mailadresse ist eingetragen, ich nutze die andere Anmeldemethode (mit Kennwort), gebe mein AOL Passwort ein (das funktioniert, wenn ich mich direkt bei AOL anmelde), der Dialog mit der Überprüfung der Zugangsdaten bzw. die Bestätigung der Zugriffe, ich stimme den AGB zu, aber nun kommt die Fehlermeldung von der Seite (https://api.login.yahoo.com/oauth2/error?client_id=dj0yJmk9MGNoTTQ0SjhIN1dSJmQ9WVdrOVdIVnFkVVp2UkZNbWNHbzlNQT09JnM9Y29uc3VtZXJzZWNyZXQmc3Y9MCZ4PTNm&error=unauthorized_client&error_description=invalid+client+id):

Unable to add an attachment to the email being sent. After I create answer, I can't add attachement. No any action after clicking "add attachement", no action after clicking menu "add file (Ctr+Shift+A)". Adding file is possible only by windows menu "Send by e-mail", thunderbird create new e-mail with attachment, I must give e-mail adress and only this way I can sent e-mail with attachment. I'd like to resize an embedded image in an email. The bottom right handle is on the far right side. If I attempt to hover over the handle a scrollbar obscures the handle: it is not possible to grab it and resize the image.

How do I resize large images in Thunderbird emails?

I tried turning off the add-on and turned off dark mode. I have been successfully using it this way, having to change the font color using font/bkgrnd color control. I have not updated win10 or TB since the last time I used this function. I send out daily emails with findings to a group bcc list. Not complex nor variating.

I went to light mode, turned off JonathanKamen's "Send Later" add-on (which is designed and executes well). Process successfully concluded.

Turned back on "Send Later". Still works.

I prefer dark mode. Documenting for advice and to see proactively if some gap is there in code say for error handling.

I recently lost all of my saved emails and the folders they are in on my laptop computer. They are fine on my desktop computer. I have tried everything to restore them to my laptop computer. (backup option, export profiles, etc) But when I try to restore them to my laptop nothing works and they are not restored to it. I have tried every option that I used to save them but they will not restore. P.S I have tried every option on Google searches with no luck. I am running Windows 11. As a side note I never had a single problem when I was using Windows 10 and Moz Backup still worked. Help Richard Clauser [redacted from public] @gmail.com

I am attempting to add my current email to another computer, it tells me it needs hostname. I enter as I have before but it doesn't recognize. the name is mail.riverbender.com I have setup several email accounts with this hostname, in thunderbird.

I was adding some filters for senders to move emails to my local folders and such, and then I ran the filters. For whatever reason, when I ran the filters this time, thunderbird also seemingly deleted all emails from some of my web email inboxes. The only one that wasn't affected by this inbox wipe was my school email(gmail provider). How can I prevent this from happening again?

When i am filing/deleting of messages into my local folders after a bit the correspondent and the subject get mismatched somehow.

I had a message from Jane Doe regarding bowling (only reason I would hear from her) after I had deleted her messages, her name started showing up as the coorespondent with subjects such as Rush concert information and here is your order information and a lot (approximately 10) messages that have nothing to do with her.

What should I do. Filing and preserving email is very important to me which is why I picked your product. If I could get it to work effectively without these weird glitches I would happily pay for it.

Side note : If I try to highlight messages in bulk and move them manually to a folder it will move folders and messages and make a big mess. The only way I can do it is to right click to get the little box to show up.

I apologize for the subject line, but there is no better way to describe the problem....

I've been using Thunderbird for a few months now and it has mostly worked well. Then this afternoon I was reading my mail in the Unified Inbox and I noticed something very odd. I had a number of emails showing in the header list with the same "From" and various subject lines. On the face of it, that wouldn't describe any weird behavior except that I noticed the subject lines absolutely didn't match the "From" information.

As I would go to read these emails, the email itself would be correct in the preview pane -- including showing the correct sender name and email -- but the "From" information in the header list pane would still be wrong.

I'm sorry that I can't post a screenshot to make this more clear because there is just too much personal information on screen. But these emails are from several different senders, received by several different email accounts. Everything is correct except that the "From" shown in the header pane is wrong. This is very obvious to me because I normally run entirely in the Unified Inbox with the emails sorted by the "From" information

One example is an email that is actually from "U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs <do-not-reply@notifications.va.gov>" which Thunderbird displays correctly in the preview pane (where I usually read my emails) and if I open the email itself, but the header pane says this email is From "Prepper-co <joshua@prepper-co.com>"

Another example is an email that is actually from "USPS Customer Support <uspscustomersupport@usps.gov>" but the header pane says it is from "Rainier Arms <sales@rainierarms.com" < p></sales@rainierarms.com">

These two examples were received in different email accounts that aren't even on the same server. I have other emails from these same senders that are shown correctly

I found this problem while using 150.0 (64-bit), which said 150.0.1 was available, so I restarted Thunderbird and it updated to 150.0.1 (64-bit) but the problem is the same.

I like to keep my inbox empty. Generally archive and delete (having dealt with the email) work well. However occasionally it is useful to delay them by a day, a week, a month... Please add this feature. It was in my old email client!

Otherwise I am loving Thunderbird!

I have a POP3 account which will not download new emails. The indication is there are no new emails. I can access the email account through gmail and there are many new emails. I have checked password. I have gone through the re-indexing procedure and all other possible solutions I could find. I did find some information about Java and incidentally, there was a Java update on the day my emails began to fail, 8-16-2026. I found this error message, but I don't know how or if I can fix this: module is not a constructor ExtensionCommon.sys.mjs:1679:15
