I have now been prompted 10 times today to make firefox by default browser - it has been my default browser for years. Each time I go to windows settings to check - it does not show me that firefox is the default. I select default for firefox but still is doesn't follow the command. I did manage to get it to accept the default command ONCE today but when I rebooted the laptop it went back to prompting me to make it the default all over again - must be 10 times now. This is infuriating. Could this issue be due to a VPN I have (NORD)? Having said that, I have tried 8 times to set the default while NOT connected to the VPN. What can I do?

I am new to Mozilla Firefox and would like to learn how to use it properly. Please explain the basic features such as opening tabs, managing bookmarks, downloading files, using extensions, and changing settings. I would also like tips for improving privacy and browsing speed.

Firefox used to display an AI overview response at the top of the page when you asked a question. That feature has disappeared on my systems. I assume that is because of the new AI controls. Is that function still available? If so, how do I re-enable it on Windows 10? The only video I could find addressed it for Windows 11 but I'm not there yet.

The AI overviews that I am used to seeing at the top when I ask a question have disappeared. I think it has something to do with the AI controls but I can't figure out how to turn that option back on in Windows 10 Firefox. Firefox is my browser, but I also have Windows Office 365. Every time I open my my gmail account or anything else I have to reset Firefox as my browser. Windows keeps trying to change my browser. I use and have many documents on Office 365 so I don't want to delete it. How can I stop that from happening. I can't disable the Microsoft browser.
