Keep getting "Profile Missing" Error on a Mac OS X 10.8.3 Need help getting FireFox up and running again!!
I updated to the newest version of FireFox, and when I tried to open it, I received the "Profile Missing" error message. There is no options to use the profile manager, and the browser will not even open. I have deleted the FireFox app, and the Mozilla file in the Application Support tab...and then tried several times to re-install, and restarted the computer. I'm using a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.8.3. If there are any solutions, I would be very grateful!

Hello superdavis78, try in profile folder to delete the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile.

thank you
There is no profile folder. I looked in both Library folders, and there no Mozilla or FireFox folders anywhere to be seen.
Found it! The browser is working great now. I appreciate the help and the links to point me in the right direction. I have had a Mac for over a year now, and still do not know a lot about it. But I am learning.
Thanks again!!!!
you are welcome
I am having this problem, too. Deleted the profile and re-installed firefox... still getting "missing profile" error. Please Help! :)
Create a new profile.
See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
