WAV files playing distorted

There seems to be a problem with how Firefox is playing some WAV files. Some WAV files I have had up on a website for over a year have recently started playing back distorted on Firefox. They play fine on my local drive, on Chrome and on Safari.

The weird thing is that I tried playing some different WAV files, and they played fine on Firefox, so it's not having an issue with all WAV files, just certain ones.

There must be something specific about these particular WAV files that is causing an issue. It could have something to do with the compression.

Please let me know if a recent update may have caused this problem and if there is any way to resolve it.
