Latest update wiped out multi-tab home.
I was set up with several tabs as my "home page". They were deleted when I updated. Any way to recover them. Any way to set this up easily? I had to text edit the home string to get it done before.

How or when was it changed? What is the home page now? Many ad / wal-ware change user settings without the user knowing.
Check your setting with these directions;
Type about:config<enter> in the address bar. If a warning screen comes up, press the Be Careful button. At the top of the screen is a search bar. Type browser.newtab.url This tells Firefox what to show when a new tab is opened. If you want, right click and select Modify. You can change the setting to;
about:home (Firefox default home page), about:newtab (shows the sites most visited), about:blank (a blank page),
or you can enter any web page or about: page you want.
The same instructions are used for the new window setting, listed as browser.startup.homepage.
Bookmark and use this; Mozilla Search Reset {web link} This add-on is very simple: on installation, it backs up and then resets your search preferences and home page to their default values, and then uninstalls itself. This affects the search bar, URL bar searches, and the home page.
Settings Guard for Firefox {web link} Detects and resets changes to settings that are frequently done by add-ons and application installers.
You would need a backup copy of the prefs.js file in the profile folder to copy the line that sets the home page (browser.startup.homepage) to the curent version of the prefs.js file.
- Tools > Options > General > Startup: Home page
Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.
Hmm, an update shouldn't change your home page. At any point do you recall clicking the Refresh button (that can set your home page back to default: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings)? If so, an Old Firefox Data folder should have appeared on your desktop. If you have that, please hang onto it for a while for reference in case you notice other important things missing.
It is also possible that an startup.homepage_override_url pref is in effect.
You may have to reset all prefs if this keeps happening.
