Update to 3.6.13 loads but after restart it is still 3.6.12 and the update window then appears again. Any ideas please?

Update manager window strngly suggests updating Firefox from 3.6.12 to 3.6.13. Download seems to work, but upon restart browser is still at V3.6.12 and the update window reappears recommending download. When I agree to download at this point, the progress bar never gets to the download stage. Any ideas please?
