when reopening closed tabs it doesn't open last closed tabs, it only opens closed tabs in the window you are using. so if you have closed a window it doesn't reopen like it does on chrome

You should see Recently Closed Windows under History in the menus.

Note that by default you can only restore three closed windows.

  • browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo 25

In Chrome, Ctrl+Shift+T restores tabs from different windows. In Firefox, Ctrl+Shift+T only restores tabs from the current window, and you need to use Ctrl+Shift+N to open the last closed window.
