In google drive when tring to download, i continuously get the error pertaining to the site redirecting in a way that will never complete.
First off, please dont copy and paste every other answer that is on the internet. They dont work.
1. I have tried removing all cookies and banning new, that didnt work, Google Drive requires cookies to be enabled. 2. I have tried removing all cache, deleted existing cookies and set security to delete cookies after a firefox reboot. 3. I have disabled hardware acceleration and set preferences to use default performance settings.
I am beyond frustrated, to the point where I'm losing faith in the good that Mozilla does.

Hi, hardware acceleration is for your Video Card, if you were not having problems before then turn it back on.
Please : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files , C:\Program Files(x86) & C:\ProgramData Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. (Note: This should be Pinned and run Weekly, If never done below expect 10's of gig's) Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do :

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 59.0.3 with a Full Version Installer
Note fyi : Windows Spring Update out April 30th so back up stuff you want to save to another drive. https://www.windowscentral.com/microsoft-announces-windows-10-april-2018-update Use Media Creation Tool to Update if so wish, or not.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
Sadly, after all that, no, the first time I opened Firefox and immediately tried to download something from Google Drive it failed with the exact same results.
What are your current cookie settings -- do you allow cookies and accept all third party cookies? See: Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them.
Yes, but delete them when firefox closes
Hi, would have been helpful if had told us which things you have tried that did not work. But new install so from the beginning please :
SAFE MODE
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Safe+Mode
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:
- all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
- default theme is used (no persona)
- userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
- default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
- Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
- hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
- plugins are not affected
- preferences are not affected
