I'm getting an error: "Error in IMAP command UID Fetch: 8bit data in atom"

Here's the full message:

"The current operation on 'Inbox' did not succeed. The mail server for account <my email account> responded: Error in IMAP command UID Fetch: 8bit data in atom (0.001 + 0.000 secs)."

This would seem to indicate non 7-bit characters in the mailbox names or something, but it's just a standard Inbox.

I finally had to start over, starting with a clean thunderbird and recreate my accounts (same settings). The problem went away.
