Login to Sync, exceeded limit. When is the block removed?

I have read all of the "answers" which are, for the most part, non-answers. A simple question of how to remove the exceeded attempts limit is most closely answered by it may stay on for a day or two. Talk about a cave man days answer. Does anyone know how long it lasts or have a workaround for it?

Firefox, do you have answer to a question that should never have to asked? You browser is superb, but this "feature" sucks at best.

hi, the block is ip-based (i don't know how long it lasts or if the span might be variable depending on the circumstances), so could work around it by trying from a different network environment/proxy/vpn...
