How to delete multiple IMAP folders at once?

stanislavmarkovic

Due to the nature of my work, I create lots of temporary email folders -- some clever server-side filtering automatically creates and files email in these folders based on message subject. At some point, I do some maintenance and want to delete these folders. At this point there is easily 100-200 folders to delete. They are all more or less consecutive and I'd simply like to select all of them and hit delete, but this does not work -- only one folder gets deleted. Also, when multiple folders are selected, right-click context menu does not have a "Delete" option.

Even if I start deleting them one by one, it is much more effort than needed:

- it always asks for confirmation, and - folder pane loses focus,

so I have 2 clicks more than necessary.

Are there any hidden config options or add-ons to rescue?

Thanks, -- Stanislav

No way to do this that I know of.

Have you tried creating them in groups of 10, 50 or 100 as subfolders and then delete the parent folder? Like fold123x

  sub1230
  sub1231

...

 sub1239

fold1234x

 sub1240

...

Thanks, but this does not really fit my workflow. Because there will allways be a couple of folders that I'll need to hang on to a while longer.
