When I click on "New Page" I get 135 tabs loaded from a bookmark file
How do I stop this from happening? Kurt

Do you mean the New Tab (+) button on the Tab bar or the Home page or otherwise?
See this article about the New Tab page (about:newtab):
You can check the home page setting:
- Tools > Options > General > Startup: Home page
Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.
I click on the "Open menu" on the very right at the top and the click on "New Window" when it loads the 135 bookmark tabs. I even deleted that book mark file, but it is still happening.
A new window opens with the Home page(s), so it sounds that you have set the home page to open a bookmarks folder or multiple bookmarks,
Did you check that like I posted above?
- Tools > Options > General > Startup: Home page
Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.
I did as suggested, looked at the 2 URLs listed above but nothing has changed. I changed the home page to google.com, so it would'nt load bookmarks file, but the 135 tabs are still being loaded.
