Retrieving previous settings, bookmarks, etc but forgot password?

So frustrated with mobile app constantly crashing I just deleted n reinstalled without much forethought, then realized I wiped out all my bookmarks and more important reading list. When attempting resync with cloud I realized it's been so long I forgot password n not even sure Im using correct email. Now see pw reset loses all cloud info? Wth? Is there any way to retrieve my previous setting b4 I uninstalled if I can't remember my password?

For security resetting a Sync account's password deletes the user data. Else someone could force Mozilla to reset the account password and gain access to any info stored. For example law enforcement or other government entity.
