I opened my e-mail client this morning and got a warning message about changing my security certificate when I didn't do anything to the settings. I contacted my computer folks at BASK/ITOK to see if there was a virus causing the problem with my e-mail. I clicked on cancel, accept, or close and the pop-up keeps reappearing. The tech spent 4 hours searching for a problem on my computer and determined that the error message is generated by you folks as I use thunderbird as my e-mail client. The tech also advised that a hard reboot of the client may fix the problem, but that I would lose all of my sent e-mails and the messages currently in the inbox. I contacted you earlier in regards to deletion of open e-mails in my inbox without my prompting and without warning. Can you help?

I suspect that Thunderbird is telling you that the servers security certificate is not valid, It may simply be expired, a common problem.

Are you getting a message about Add Security Exception? Thunderbird is asking if you wish to accept the certificate as valid. If you trust the site, you can add the exception. Thunderbird will record your choice and allow the connection, and not ask again, for this site.
