I am using a Mac and our portals pull up pictures from a mapped drive. Is this possible? This is needed for our work instructions

within our portal we link to our work instructions. These work instructions are basically stored on a mapped drive. When going to these links i can see the instructions. However, the pictures do not appear. Is there a way to fix this? We have optimized our process to not need a mapped drive but we still cannot get the pictures to show.

Generally speaking, Firefox does not allow http(s):// pages to access file:// addresses.

I haven't tested recently, but there has been a workaround. See: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Links_to_local_pages_do_not_work#Firefox_1.5.2C_SeaMonkey_1.0_and_newer
