Thunderbird ściąga mi cały czas pocztę i dubluje. Zapycha mi komputer. WIem, ze mam skrzynkę 50Gb a na dyzku mam prawie 200 Gb w pliku, wg mnie ściąga raz na jakiś czas pocztę. Co mam zrobić? Arek

Thunderbird downloads and duplicates my mail all the time. It's clogging up my computer. I know that I have a 50Gb mailbox and I have almost 200Gb of files on my disk, so I think it downloads e-mail from time to time.

I updated to 115.11.1 (32-bit) and unified folders will not appear and the option will not stay checked. I have exhausted my options. I previously had 64-bit with same issue so I deleted and installed 32-bit as some said this would help the issue ( I'm on 64-bit windows 10 OS).

I've tried deleting smart mailboxes, virtualfolder and jsontreefolder

nothing is working, I am at wits end. Please help!

The solution was complicated. Here's a better, faster one:

Just copy the whole Thunderbird folder to the laptop.

Zip it with 7-zip using minimal compression, copy it to a portable hard drive or thumb drive, rename the existing Thunderbird folder on the laptop to Thunderbird.bak, and unzip the new Thunderbird folder to the laptop.

I had previously copied the Thunderbird folder directly to the portable drive, but that takes hours because of all the little files. 7-zip is faster.

Using Thunderbird version 115.11.1 (32-bit), I cannot set up my Gmail account. I've tried all tips and suggestions: Accepted cookies, OAuth2 authentication in both IMAP and SMTP, removed saved password, but still got the message: "probably wrong configuration, username or password". At start, enter my name and Gmail address, leave the password blank and click "Done" I don't see any sign of "Sign in with your Google account" as I have read in several places. Have used Thunderbird for 10+ years, as interface to Gmail. Lovely product. 3 days ago I had to reinstall a station but when Thunderbird does its updating after reconnecting to gmail address for the 10GB of emails, it behaves damn irregular: - periodic freezes of mouse and keyboard, for about 0.3 seconds every 3 to 5 seconds. - Thunderbird message says downloading email number out of total number of emails (very slowly advancing) but every 3 seconds it starts downloading email 1 of those emails - station has cumulated some 20 hours working, most of these left to finish syncronizing. Usually in 2 - 3 hours there is time enough.

This happens only when Thunderbird runs, when I close it the station runs fine. Same hardware on the station as before..

I like to keep a few email 'open' tabs available so I can remind myself of important tasks. It seems that the tabs all get discarded when there is an update. How can I keep them from being deleted by an update?

Following installation of the 32 bit version of Thunderbird 128.0b on 12 June 2024 the content of all emails in the Inbox which existed at that date - and back to 28th September 2021 - would not display at all.

Emails in the Drafts and Sent areas were unaffected.

Emails received since 12th June are displaying normally - as are e-mails dated prior to 28th September 2021.

I have re-indexed the Inbox with no improvement.

The INBOX e-mails show quite normally in Windows Mail -which I only use on my laptop.

Hello, my Cox email account was migrated to Yahoo mail. I can receive emails but now I can't send emails from Thunderbird. I've triple checked server settings. Please help. Thanks-Vince

This is the message I get and it does this with all email addresses.

Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Request failed; Mailbox unavailable. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.

I use the global search a lot (when it works!) I don't like the way the results are displayed so I always click 'show results as list'. Is there a way to make that the default way search results are displayed? thanks

Setting Up Thunderbird for AT&T Email I've used Thunderbird as my email client for years; however, about a month ago it stopped working and now I receive the following message, "Sending of password for user [email scrubbed] did not succeed. Mail server inbound.att.net responded: [SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later". What do I need to do to get things working again in Thunderbird?

when i try to access my email i get the message LOGIN TO ACCOUNT FAILED. i found a page in this community which addressed this problem, but none of the suggestions solved the problem. it started 3 days ago. i can access my email online with FIREFOX, but when i tried with CHROME i could SEE the emails, but when i clicked on one, couldn't read it or do anything WITH it.

I keep getting an error message saying that I can't send emails due to being over the daily allowed threshold? I also am not really happy with this new updated version and wondered how I can go back to the previous one? I am unable now to set up my email page like it was before and can't get "folder, subject and from" headers on my email page? Thank you.

I've encountered one message in Thunderbird that has remote content enabled (which I don't recall explicitly enabling). In Settings, under "Allow remote content in messages" (unchecked), the "Exceptions..." list is empty. I've also cleared the cache, switched to offline mode, and went back to that message, but it still shows remote content.

Four days ago the Att server started to refuse my password (I assume that was it). After four changes of password, including in Thunderbird, the password keeps being refused. Have exhausted several att agents who can't figure out why it doesn't work. One thought the server settings were correct.
