This might just be a blind thing, I use the NVDA screen reader, but when I sign in to firefox, my password is 12 letters long, but when I look on my settings page, it's 18 characters long, is this normal?

I can log in using my 12 letter password and it's not a master password, I don't have one of those.

Any help would be apreciated.

I am facing issue while downloading files in Firefox Private Browsing. Whenever I download my PDF files, as soon as I close the browser window, the files also get deleted automatically. What should I do to rectify this issue.

Many of the websites I access ask if I want them to remember my login info--username and password. For those that I trust, I indicate that I want them to remember this information, and for most I get an e-mail confirming that my device is registered. However, the next time I log in, I still have to go through the entire login. Is this a Firefox issue, and if so, how can I correct this?

I have noticed that my browser saves certain data that was filled into forms on websites such as contact info, or 2FA codes. Of course, the all options for Logins and Passwords as well as Forms and Autofill are turned off. So I wonder, what causes this behavior? I would maybe think these are some cookies, but after clearing them and deleting all site data this still happens. For 2FA codes this is harmless. but I'm concerned Firefox may do this for passwords too. Anyway, why would I need to save info of TOTP?

I've got FF set for https-only. But sometimes it will tell me no https is available but when I go to the site anyway it is https.

Is this a bug or is this something in my settings?

I've been using Firefox browser for Facebook and other online purposes for several years. Over much of that time I periodically (several times per week, minimum) get a small pop-up box, usually while I'm on Facebook, which is headed "Apple wants to make changes. Enter your password" The "USERNAME" box shows only my first name, John, (which is my admin password for the laptop) and the "PASSWORD" box is empty. No indication of what changes Apple wants to make, so I've never put my password in, and when I hit "cancel" I have to cancel three times before it goes away, only to show up sometimes within minutes, or sometimes days. Until today I'd not been able to get a diagnosis from Apple, but their help person, after a screen-sharing session today said it doesn't come from Apple and she suggested I contact Firefox Support and ask about it. So I'm asking. The screen shot below shows what it looks like, although I closed Firefox before i took this screen shot, just to see if the box would remain, and obviously, it did. Any thoughts as to whether this is somehow coming from Firefox? Thanks, John Jessup

Firefox removes the exceptions after every update and they have to be manually re-added. This is a very frustrating user experience. Can you please help me identify if this is an issue with Firefox that can be updated or is it an issue with some setting I have setup.

Exceptions that get reset - Cookies and Site Data, Pop-ups, Add-ons, etc.

Permissions that get reset - All of them Location, Camera, Microphone, etc.

• Side note, the Troubleshooting Information section below has a link to share data, that link does not open in a new window. It opened in this same window, erasing all the content I had typed up the first time.

I don't mean "saving" login information for later use, that I do not want to do. What I mean by the login not being retained is that when I log-in to a website like say Amazon, while I'm browsing, I end up having to re-enter my login information pretty much every other time that I switch between pages. I've never had an issue like that with any other browser. Is there some setting I need to adjust to stop that from happening? As I said, I'm not looking to save my passwords and usernames within the browser, I just want to effectively browse a website after logging into it without needing to login every time I move between pages. I am trying to block out the new little "stick marks" that post while I try to log on to a site that that I need to "google" and log on to. I tried to sign out of all the "outside sites" that want to log on, but there are sites that I need to log on to and have done this in the past. I usually go to these sites because they are important to my transacting business, accessing my bank, places I pay my bills, etc. If I want to get to these and order or pay a bill, I have to unblock each one of them??? How do I do that? If a credit company wants to contact me, they cannot do this even if we have contacted each other previously? Really?

How do I undo this already-marked system and get out of it? As you can guess, I am old and not up with the times. Please simplify your answers so a not-technical person can understand it.

I dont care what you are going to say to make it sound okay, it is NOT OKAY AT ALL. Mozilla Firefox supposed to be a Privacy Browser is not making business with Meta -> Facebook, lately i really question the mental health of Mozilla, first a unique identifier, now a partnership with zucking facebook, what's next? Let me tell you something, if you are a privacy company then get the zuck away from companies who don't give a damn zuck about privacy -> facebook, mozilla can NOT simply make a deal with facebook and claim "oh dont worry it's ok your privacy is secure, bullsh!t.

You know what, i have been using Firefox since i first accessed the internet with a webbrowser, now hear this -> one more negative thing from mozilla and that's it, bye mozilla you have lost your way.

While this is only me speaking here, MANY people have already quit firefox because of what mozilla has been doing recently. Continue what you are doing now, and soon your greatest product -> firefox will be dead. When privacy partners with tracking & spyware this is the definition of suicidal behaviour. I really worry about Mozillas Mental Health lately.
