this new version is horrible. I go to Facebook and it either does not come up or it takes forever. It does it with addons on and off and i do not get half of what i post and there are just colored square no post all when i go to my page but yet it works just fine in Chrome with both extension on and off. I have cleared the cache history etc and still nothing have removed some add ons added some adblockers and it will not let me me see my notifications for at least 5 minutes and that is about how long it takes for it to work on fiirefox with and with out extensions it is a little better with out add ons If this happens with add on you recommend then why do i need them why have and offer theme them if it causes this. have tried contacting Met AI and Facebook but it only happens with Firefox why do this if it aint broke do not fix it

I had an unusual system crash, and when I restarted Firefox, the History > Restore Previous Session feature was grayed out. Due to the nature of my work, I had a large quantity of tabs open at the time of the crash (please don't judge). I then backed up the contents of the \Library\Application Support\Firefox\Profiles\[session].default\sessionstore-backups\ folder, but unfortunately not the full Profiles folder content. The file recovery.baklz4 does seem to contain my open session info (I can see a recent link in it). Based on web advice, I then tried restarting Firefox, but that didn't solve my issue. I also tried copying in sessionstore-backups files, without success. I then tried the "Session History Scrounger" web application to try and recover links from the contents of recovery.baklz4 because that worked for me in a prior crash years ago, but it doesn't seem to work properly anymore (it only retrieved 4 web pages). Appreciate any guidance as to how I can use my backed up sessionstore-backup files to re-enable Restore Previous Session, or alternatively to scrounge the links that were open at the time of the crash. Greatly appreciate your help! (Please do not suggest using "Show All History"... I have no plans to sort through a dump truck of rice with a pair of tweezers.)

Firefox suddenly stopped autofill for one of my credit card websites. Went to settings and everything seems to be in place. after manual log in FFasked to save info and I checked 'Save', but still no go. It just added new(additional) login info to my list of passwords.

I've been having this problem for a wee while when I'm browsing facebook (which works better in Chrome) the site on firefox and as well as messenger is really laggy and I'm wondering if there is a hidden setting that I should change to improve this?

I only have adblock addon installed and I cleaned out the history and browser cookies ect but the problem still remains.

I have to reset Firefox/Mozilla as my default browser every time I leave the browser and return. Each time I set it as my default browser, but I have to do it again and again. This is a new occurrence, as I have never had to do this until the last few weeks.

I really need some quality advice and will sincerely appreciate it if someone can guide me, because my head is spinning.

There are audio and video files for which I receive in the console that they can't be decoded. Media resource could not be decoded, error: Error Code: NS_ERROR_DOM_MEDIA_RANGE_ERR (0x806e0069)

When I hit enter after clicking youtube.com , my screen turns into grey spots where the videos should show and no other written info on screen. What is going on??? I can go in when Safari or chrome.

When I click to fill in a Credit Card field to pay for something, my correct card info appears momentarily, but then disappears. To execute a payment, I am forced to manually fill in all required information. I made sure the "save autofill" box was properly checked in the Settings, and it was. Names, addressed, etc. are all filled in properly; only credit card info is not.

it can be useful if u create a system of syncing which actually works, why my passwords dont sync when i log in and also i had to put my exact same passwords 6 times before the stupid system recognized it was correct, the fuck is happening i had changed devices before and this never happened i dont know why now but im very upset

When I first installed firefox a while ago something popped up and I wasn't paying attention to what it was before I clicked it and every since whenever I click share on any website it will not work.

It works in any other browser except for Firefox..

Firefox automatically creates an empty "Downloads" folder in my home directory that I don't need. My browser settings specify a different file save path. How can I stop this? I'm using Firefox 151.0.4 and Rosa Linux 13.2 (Fedora clone).

I have upgraded to a Macbook pro 2023 M2 Tahoe, and reinstalled firefox. When I open it, the search bar & my tabs all show as expected, but then disappear, can't find them. I have to close and open again to get back them back. I have googled this, tried some things (about:config - made sure "browser.fullscreen.auto hide" is set to false). I do not have a setting "always show toolbar in full screen" as suggested by google search. This shouldn't be that hard! Any thoughts? thanks!

I play online bridge (Trickster) twice a week and set up Firefox to share video and sound with my USB mic. (Windows 10 desktop, Trickster opened in Firefox). Most of the time it works fine but occasionally the other bridge players will tell me they can no longer hear me. When I click on the mic icon the message is that Firefox is using the mic. The settings still say that the mic is being shared. Sometimes a windows reset will fix the problem but not always. Can you explain what might be happening.

Whenever I search for images on Google, it completely breaks Google search completely. For example, if I search for "bananas" then on the main Results page it has some results and then some sections with drop down menus for more specific questions like "What are the benefits of bananas?" etc. But if I click on the "Images" tab, then it only loads around 6-7 rows of images before failing to load any more, clicking on the images that it does load will not open a website or the typical preview panel, and going back to the main results page from that broken images tab results in none of the drop down buttons working any more.

If I sign out of my Google account completely or even sign into a different Google account, then everything works as normal. If I sign into the same Google account and attempt the same process in a different browser (Edge) then everything works as normal. I initially thought this must be an issue with my Google account since signing out/into a different account caused the issue to disappear, but the I only have this problem specifically on the specific combination of this one particular Google account and the Firefox browser.

I have tried clearing site data, disabling/deleting extensions, and even fully uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox so far and nothing has helped.

My internet connection is with Comcast, whom has told their customers that they will no longer be allowing email addresses with their company’s name. To this end I have been trying to move my old email accounts over from them, and I'm facing a lot of problems. However, since I was able to change the email in the Mozilla account today, I may be able to do it now. Also, please update my computer info to windows 11. Educated guesses below are correct.
