Where do I find the version number of the latest version of Firefox before downloading?
I must request permission to download Firefox at work and IT needs version number before granting permission. Texas regulatory agencies use Firefox and work only allows microsoft internet explorer. To use the agencies models and reports I need Firefox. The website for downloading does not list the version number. Where do I find the version number of the latest version of Firefox before downloading?

You can find the latest Firefox 20.0.x release in all languages and for all Operating Systems here:
If you hover a download link the you should see the Firefox version in the pop-up at the bottom of the screen.
