what happened to the feature where you could ask Firefox to save all the open tabs in a single folder?

let's say i have six tabs open. it used to be that if i want to return to these six tabs at a later date, i could say "save all these open tabs in a single folder." then later i could select that folder and say "open all the tabs in this folder." this way the original set of tabs in the original order would be displayed for me again. i did not have to mess with each tab on its own. i cannot seem to find this functionality in firefox any more. is it gone? is it superseded by some new and different functionality? is it relocated? thanks

Right-click on a tab to see the Bookmark All Tabs... menu item.

Some menu entries in the main menu bar are hidden if you use the mouse and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu (Bug 626825).

You can see the difference if you use Alt+F to open the File menu or other menus like the Edit menu (Alt+E) and Bookmarks menu (Alt+B) and compare that to what you see if you use the mouse to open the menu after you have made the menu bar visible by tapping Alt or by pressing F10.

  • "Bookmark All Tabs" (Shift+Ctrl+D) no longer shows in the Bookmarks menu unless you open the Bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).
  • "Bookmark All Tabs" can be accessed via the right-click context menu of a tab on the tab bar.

Both responses solved the problem and made me a much more capable FireFox user, and because I really like FireFox, that's a good feeling.

Thank you edmeister for posting so incredibly quickly! Thank you cor-el for the depth of your response -- I will use it to solve other issues in the future.

This is not a solution, sometime you have to close firefox (when you install an addon for example) and then it's nice if you can work through again, after installation.

You can easily right-click the tab bar to bookmark all open tabs.
