Why am I getting 'launch error: 1156' since I installed Firefox 4.xxx?
Since Firefox 4 came out and now also in Firefox 5, I get 'launch error: 1156 - An error occurred...' whenever Firefox is started by a secondary program and it is not already running - such as - I use Windows Live mail. If I click on a link in an email message and I don't have Firefox already running in the background, I get error 1156. I also have a shortcut to FileHippo update checker on my desktop. If I click on that to start it and Firefox isn't already running I get error 1156. However if Firefox is running, both Live Mail and update checker start without an error. What is causing this problem? I recently reinstalled Firefox 3.6.17 and the problem disappeared until I reinstalled Firefox 5.
