Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What are the exact error messages?

If you can't get Firefox to open, you will have to do this the hard way. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozillacrashreporter

Open the file browser / explorer on your computer. Note: You may have to enable Show Hidden Folders / Files. Enter this in the address box;

Windows: %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win 7/Vista: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win XP/2000: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted Win 10: Press <Windows> + R on the keyboard. A Run dialog will open. In the Run dialog, type %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted <Enter>

Mac OS: /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Crash Reports/submitted Linux: /home/<username>/.mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports/submitted

Copy the most Recent 5-7 File Names in the folder. Press the Reply button. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

what happens is when i try to open firefox, it opens like for a second i can see the browser and then it crashes. There are no running processes.. i checked. There are no error messages.. it just, crashes. I also tried running in administrator mode which too didn't solve the prob. And FYI, i have two profiles on this pc. Firefox works in the other profile.. but doesn't work in this profile.

For the profile that is not working, follow the instructions from my last post. Are there any crash reports?

Win 10: Press <Windows> + R on the keyboard. A Run dialog will open. In the Run dialog, type %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted <Enter>

should I do this?

Yes. That should be correct. For me it's; C:\Users\Fred\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted

Note: Because of the space in the string, there might be a problem. Note the quotes: "C:\Users\Fred\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\submitted"

this is it... there is no submmited file folder and i also enabled 'show hidden files/items'. Its just this

I called for more help.

I think there is a problem with profiles... as it works in the other profile. Maybe firefox can't handle two profiles??

Try downloading Firefox from Mozilla and see if you have the same issue. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

I did that and doesn't work... that's where this all started

One can have multiple profiles with a Firefox install. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-remove-switch-firefox-profiles

Firefox doesn't even open how do i even do this steps? Nothing even opens! I did troubleshoot mode too!

The profile creator wizard doesn't open... it too, crashes

What security software are you running? You may need to try Windows in Safe Mode to see if Firefox opens.
