Firefox not syncing add-ons

I recently got a new laptop, and am transferring everything from an older iMac. The iMac is running High Sierra 10.13.6, the new laptop is running Big Sur 11.4. Both have the latest Firefox update 89.0.1.

A couple of days ago when I got the new laptop, I set up an account to sync, so that my Firefox on the new machine would have all of the bookmarks and settings I had on the old machine. I did not have sync set up before a few days ago.

Sync has worked for my bookmarks. But it has not worked for my add-ons.

I'm running the two machines side by side. My add-ons are there on the older iMac. Syncing is ON, and add-ons are selected in the "You are currently syncing these items" box.

No matter how many times I hit "Sync Now", on the old machine and then the new machine, the add-ons don't sync. I've quit Firefox on both machines. I've restarted both machines.
