Hey community,

So I have a login/password that saves and works appropriately on the laptop version of the firefox, but won't actually load the login or the password on the mobile App. I even tried doing it with the "desktop version" of the site through the mobile app and it still doesn't work. Any ideas what could be going on and how to fix it?

Thanks!

Do you mean that you can't login to this website when you fill name and password on the mobile device or is this a problem with auto-fill ?

The problem is with the auto-fill in that it does not want to autofill on the mobile app on the phone. On my laptop, the Firefox Mozilla autofill works fine, but does not on the phone.

Yes. Also, whatever link you sent me is for some older version of firefox. I have Firefox Daylight 33.1 (4629) installed on my iphone. Regardless, looked through that link and all the settings the page proposes either are checked on for what they have to be checked on or plain no longer exist.

On my Windows PC version of firefox, when I click on "email," which is essentially the username, a drop down menu comes down and I can choose the email I use for the login. Once I click that, it puts in the password without issue then I can log in without a problem.

On my mobile iPhone version of firefox, when I tap on "email" on the same website, nothing pops up, no drop down, nothing. Maybe its just this website, but regardless it's mostly just an inconvenience.

You didn't wrote that your mobile device is an iPhone. The article I linked above is for Android, so wouldn't apply to iPhone.

You can check this instead:

Alright, great, this set of steps got me about 25% of the way to my goal, but it seems like the iphone version isn't optimized yet and I can't tell if that is inherent or if maybe I'm still just missing things.

When I click on the "email" portion, it still doesn't do a drop down and I still have to type in the email manually which is already a pain on the iphone since the email is somewhat lengthy already on a cramped screen. Then it populates the password section, but when I hit login it then says "password section is empty." After that I click on the portion that says "passwords" just above the keyboard, then I have to search for my password amongst the list of logins/passwords (again inefficient) and then when I click on the one I want and press login. That final part at least works.

Regardless, it still seems cumbersome. Not sure if there is more ways to make the initial steps more efficient or not.
