Upload photo from mobile device using Plupload (web application)

Unable to upload a photo (accessing the android device camera) from a mobile device using plupload on a web application. This used to work on version 68.8.1 and has now stopped stopped working on version 82.1.4.

On closer inspection we found that neither the onload nor the onerror events are being triggered when setting an image src attribute..so it seems.
