After latest Windows 10 update (2004 or I don't know firefox is telling me I have Windows_NT 10.0 19041 so who knows) about month ago and after that Firefox keeps randomly crashing into desktop. It happens about 6-7 times in a hour! 95% of the time even crash report doesn't show up so I can't send my crash report to firefox. I have updated Firefox, downgraded it, disabled all add-ons I have tried that "media.wmf.vp9.enabled" trick and it doesn't work

What to do? I like firefox and I dont want to use Edge or Chrome. Is reinstalling Windows my only option?

Please help

A report that will not submit is because the type of report is unneeded. Don't worry about it.

What were you doing at the time? surfing, watching a clip, reading something . . . .

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Well I mostly watch youtube so at first I thought it has something to do with media plugins but no. It crashes in the middle of reading something, random web surfing. I have 1 tab open - crashes, 2 tabs open - crashes and so on, doens't matter

I THINK I have tried it and it didnt work, but I'm gonna try it again. Maybe it works now...

See if there are updates for your graphics drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

Okei, I have done some testing now

Upgrading your graphics driver - didn't work Turning off hardware acceleration - didn't work Disabling WebGL - didn't work Safe mode - yes, no crashes :D Turning off all extensions and then running Firefox normally - after 1h of use just 1 crash

So I guess it has something to do with extensions and safe mode is the only safe option. Damn... Watching youtube without ad blocker is a pain

Please post that crash report number.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 Submitted crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

Please, Do not post a screenshot ! !

After ca 10 minutes of browsing without extensions it crashed again but like I said 95% of the time even crash report doesn't show up so I can't send my crash report to firefox. And if I go to about:crashes there is nothing new

In about:crashes is only one unsubmitted crash without bd- infront but I can't send it. If I press SUBMIT it fails. Date it crashed is 13.10.19, 21:55 so I guess it has nothing to do with my issue too
