I reallllly need to not be able to see/access my personal logins on my work computer but somehow they're all there
It's not 'sync' because I logged in and out of Sync and it didn't help. I uninstalled Firefox and then reinstalled and somehow everything is still there.... all my personal login infos, all 79 of them! on my work computer. I must have signed in or created an account or something which connect all my devices but for the life of me I don't recall what I did, I know it was months ago. I really want to keep using firefox on my work computer but can't if this is not solvable. I would really like to be able to flush my work computer of the login things but keep the bookmarks I've cultivated. (sidenote... all my work bookmarks are now on my home computer, what a nightmare). The work computer is a shared computer so the passwords and whatnot have got to go. I am only at my work computer part-time, so it may take me a few days to try your suggestions and get back to you. many many thanks!

You can transfer logins.json and key4.db from the Firefox profile folder on the work computer to the current profile folder by using a removable USB drive.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

I seem to have misunderstood your question.
Best is to keep a backup copy of logins.json and key4.db on the work computer and disconnect both devices from Sync.
