That's it? no other solutions? Is Firefox going to return the synced information at all??? What is the use of a sync if it is not going to do that?

I have the same problem. I assumed sync feature does backup my bookmarks and saved passwords and I can readily access them in my new windows! As other browsers does this routinely.

I'd synced in my previous Firefox just before installing new windows. Is there anything I can do to restore my lost data!
