about once a week i get a full screen pop telling me there is something wrong with Firefox 67.04 and i should download and appp to fix Firefox. It locks the screen so ai cannot get a screen shot of it. top left i have two options allow or deny, middle of screen is to download. I always deny, and end up using task manger to shut it down the restart the pc. Task-manager shows a file APELORISSEDWEN.DOWNLOAD I have searched for the file with out luck. I have looked through the entire registry, I have used Kaspersky AV and malwarebytes but nothing is found. anybody have any idea what this is and how to find and kill it? thank you in advance:)

. Whenever you get a message / popup that software / files need to be updated;

DO NOT USE ANY OF THE PROVIDED LINKS

While this may be a legitimate message, it could also be Malware or a Virus. Anytime you want or need to check for upgrades, go to the website of the True Owner of the program in question. For example, to check out Firefox, go to https://www.mozilla.org {web link}

Is there any specific site(s) where this occurs? If so please post. Also make sure Windows is up to date, as this reduced malware affecting the OS.

Windows's is up to date, and does not appear that any specific site sets the pop up off
