Hi there,

I've used DuckDuckGo for a while now. Take a look at this URL: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=may+2019&iar=images&iai=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.calendarpedia.com%2Fimages%2Fmonths%2F2019%2Fmay-2019-calendar.png

On an image search result, such as this one for "may 2019", Firefox doesn't create an image on the desktop when you drag the result to the desktop. Chrome does, and firefox does on other sites that serve proxied images. For example, Startpage (which unfortunately doesn't do custom image search URLs). Click the "images" tab on the following URL: https://www.startpage.com/do/search?q=may+2019

Either way, thank you so much for looking at this minute problem, which can be dealt with by a simple right-click.

I don't have a Mac OSX computer, but on Windows which doesn't support .webloc natively like MacOSX does, I am able to save the actual image in .png format two different ways. https://proxy.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.calendarpedia.com%2Fimages%2Fmonths%2F2019%2Fmay-2019-calendar.png&f=1

Right-click the image shown here: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=may+2019&iar=images&iai=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.calendarpedia.com%2Fimages%2Fmonths%2F2019%2Fmay-2019-calendar.png&iax=images&ia=images

1. Using Save Image As...

2. Or select View Image to display only that specific image in the Tab. From there I can drag'n'drop it to the desktop or use "Save Image As...".

Since your using DDG you want to check their FAQ for help on this.

Hi there,

I checked DuckDuckGo’s help, and furthermore posted a question on their forum, but the problem only exists when using Firefox (not chrome or safari). I know that this probably will wreak havoc on the proper place to categorize this post, but it’s dragging a URL to the desktop on Mac no longer makes a .webloc shortcut on Firefox (it still does on chrome)
