saved usernames and passwords are missing
Just noticed everything is gone.....nothing shows. I'm using ver 63.0.3. Not sure if it is the result of a Firefox update. I last checked the passwords approx 7 days ago. I have an old firefox data file dated 2-18 on my desktop.
can I pull them out of old file?

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

I take it you mean passwords, history, bookmarks . . . .
It's possible the browser was reset for some reason. 1) Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside.

2) Type about:profiles<enter> in the address bar. How many profiles are listed? How many should be there?

By "everything" I meant only the saved logins, userid /password. Everything else seems ok. I have not reset the browser. My old firefox folder is dated last from 2017.
And what about instruction 2 ?
1. I removed the duplicate HTTPS everywhere programs: no change.
2. there is 1 profile, I only have one profile.
To inadvertently delete my missing username/password file I would have had to have clicked the "remove all" box and then agreed to the "do you really wanna do this" box. I did not do this. No one else uses my computer. I'm kinda worried about this.
I went into my "old Firefox data" file. I opened it up to check file dates but they are from 2017.
Everything else seems fine.
While the backup folder is dated 2017, it still may have passwords that are useful.
