Erased all my previous passwords and is not allowiing me save new ones even when prompted
I all of sudden cannot find any passwords and I rely on that feature quite a lot as i have various passwords for different sites.
Also it is not currently saving any new passwords even when prompted.
I am not in the private browsing feature and my privacy setting are at remember history.
Please help

Are you using the Time Machine for backups?
If that is the case then see if you can restore the logins.json and key3.db files.
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

You can check if you have an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop in case the Refresh feature in Firefox has been used and a new profile has been created.
In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.
