When i single click on icons to drag and move them, they open up ...i have tried Control Panel/Folder Options/SIngle and Double Click, but no success. I have looked on forums, but no success. Seems like updating screws things up more and more. Why do you people update and ruin things? Getting like dealing with IE, i quit IE and went to Mozilla because it was 'effortless', but seems like after you revised it last month or so, it is really getting worse and worse. What gives? If you can help me move the icons i would be happy. Thanks so much ! This is NOT covered in your forums or help that i could find. and most solutions did not pan out.

Would you like the link to yell at as Firefox Support Volunteers are here to answer questions only about solving issues with Firefox.

uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.2 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

To submit suggestions for new or changed features, may I suggest: Feedback: https://qsurvey.mozilla.com/s3/FirefoxInput/

Please : Go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Help ? --> Troubleshooting Information Page and take a look in the Accessibility section if accessibility is set to "true" there. if yes, go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.

Monitor in Task Manager. Should stay below 2 gigs. If excessive then do below and monitor and change if need to.

Go the 3 Bar Menu then Options --> General --> Performance and untick everything. change the recommended size lower then see how it runs. Note: 1 = No Multiprocessor = slow again. Try 2 Restart Firefox after making these changes please.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Did not solve problem. In fact, now, my Thunderbird program is not running properly ... when 'write', opens several screens at a time; when typing and then stop, highlights last word and then if you click, it deletes and you have to 'undo' it; if you leave cursor over a message, it opens any message it happens to find; little things like this, annoying. This last update, today, worsened the problem. It's cumbersome to keep uninstalling and installing and takes lots of time. Thank you.
