I lost a reply that I was editing when I double clicked.

Thunderbird 45.1.1 OS 10.11.5

A reply that I was editing all of the sudden slipped down the funnel to my dock, perhaps into the Thunderbird icon but I couldn't tell for sure (small icons.) I've searched through my e-mail folders but have yet to find it. I may have double clicked somewhere in the edit session - spastic fingers, and that may have initiated this unwanted action. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
