Ok so a couple of days ago, I got on Facebook to play one of my favorite games. As soon as the game started to load, Firefox crashed. It's been happening all the time since the first try and well I don't want to have to switch browsers. I've tried the Firefox reset that was mentioned in a past post but it only worked until I tried to put a new design on the top of my browser.

Can anybody explain why it's only on one Facebook app that makes it crash and how to stop it? Please and thank you!

Ok That seemed to work. Just weird because I've had webroot as my anti-spyware for years on Firefox without trouble. Thank you.

hello, could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum? this might give us a clue what is going on...

This is what was in my Troubleshooting info menu: Application Basics

thank you. this kind of crash is very likely caused by the webroot filtering program that you have running on the machine. please disable its firefox extension once or in case this doesn't help to address the crash try to totally uninstall the program.

Webroot was uninstalled when I tried the Firefox refresh so I don't think that's it.

hi, webroot is probably an extension that is installed systemwide, so it doesn't get affected when you reset your profile. it is also clearly shown as present in the crash reports that were part of the troubleshooting info page... so please try to disable the addon or generally uninstall webroot from the system control panel and see if the crashes continue.
