Since 3 days back whenever I try to play any video in youtube , it says " An error occurred. Please tray gain later. Learn More" . (WinXP SP3, Firefox 30.0 , Flash 14) I tried all the options given in the Lear more link. But of no use. Videos are working in IE and Chrome. I tried firefox installed in Linux OS installed in the same machine. Same problem in Linux also. Please help.

Of late it stopped working in Chrome and IE also. I found that the reason is due to DNS servers. I disconnected my broadband and used a 3G dongle and found that everything is working. Then I contacted my broadband ISP. In my setting, DNS was auto. I changed it to the number given by them. Now the issue is resolved.

Reload the webpage while bypassing the cache

  • Hold down the Shift key and click the Reload button with a left click.
  • Press Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows and Linux)
  • Press Command + Shift + R (Mac)

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

Clear the Cache: Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

Remove Cookies from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Still, If its not working then it may be because of your corrupted cookie file (cookies.sqlite)

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

You can also check if DOM Storage is enabled.
