I'm running Firefox browser 88.0 (64) bit, and have been trying since before Xmas to upgrade it to a newer version. It's installed on an older Dell laptop running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (which I've also tried repeatedly to upgrade without success).

I've tried to upgrade both through the UI, but also tried using the command line in Terminal. Per advice in other threads, I've found the best mirror site and changed my settings to use that, but still no luck. Even the preliminary "sudo apt update" via Terminal fails; the first error tells me that the public key is not available. I assume that's the place to start, but don't know how to correct it.

I'm up against the deadline for updating my browser, and would very much appreciate any help you can provide. (Please note that I'm posting from a newer computer, so automatically generated info about my system won't apply. See the screenshots for that info).

When I log into a site my user ID and password are automatically typed in. The user ID is fine but I want to put my password in manually. How do I stop the password from showing up automatically? The site involved say my pass word is stored by my browser.

Are the captions being generated in firefox. I've never had this happen before.The captions are unrelated with I'm doing and are very distracting . Please tell mr how to discontinue them. Thank You

Large number of firefox.exe Crash [Watson Failure] caused by ACCESS_VIOLATION_c0000005_firefox.exe! firefox.exe 134.0.0.3375/ 133.0.3.387/ 133.0.0.2307 Windows 10/11

All of a sudden every time I open Firefox the bookmarks sidebar shows up opened. I do not want it to "always" open. In the past this never happened. How can I make it so this is not the case? I did try different things I found by Googling it. But nothing seems to work. thanks.

Hi, As you can see in the attached GIF, while scrolling though my x timeline some videos play OK while others have that green fuzz on them. It also happens when looking through Instagram stories, some work fine others are the green fuzz. Other sites, such as Youtube, have been working perfectly. I have tried clearing cache and cookies but it still happens. x and Instagram are both working fine on other browsers so the issue seems to be with Firefox.

I have Windows 11 and Firefox Version 134.0 (64-bit). My laptop is Asus Vivobook S.

For a few weeks, I've been unable to download Nightly updates via Help>About Nightly because Nightly thinks another instance is updating. I have found no solution or information on this issue. I never run more than one instance, though I usually have 50-60 windows open with many tabs each. Am I hitting a hard coded assumption that more than one instance is running if some number of windows and/or tabs is implying multiple instances? Nothing else seems to make sense so far... This issue just appeared one day; I recall nothing out of the ordinary. Was just trying to download the latest Nightly as I'd done for years and am now stuck with this issue preventing access to updates.
