Upgraded to 46.0.1 and lost tabs, "previous sessions" is greyed out, how can I get my tabs back?

Firefox upgraded to version 46.0.1 and when it shut down and came back my tabs were all gone. Tried to restore session from the History drop down, but "Restore Previous Sessions" was greyed out/not an option. How can I get my tabs back? I need them ALL and seriously cannot remember what all I had open to even try to duplicate it.
