I’m trying to find information for Firefox Reality. One of the first things I did upon getting a new Oculus Quest 2 was to download Firefox VR. Imagine my dismay upon realizing that there is virtually no easy to access information regarding controller support, especially with regards to button mapping and what interactions that one can perform in Firefox using the controllers or perhaps even hand tracking. So throwing this out there so that so that I can hopefully learn something and perhaps someone else later on may have an easier time to search for instructions, controls, or key mapping might have an easier time as well

Hello Mozilla Support, WebXR is not working anymore on FF (and Chrome) for me since some months. When I go to: https://mixedreality.mozilla.org/hello-webxr/, Firefox says now "VR not Supported".

I can enter VR with Chrome Canary (not with the normal Chrome) and Microsoft Edge, no problems. Firefox and Chrome did work for me till some months ago.

I just had a long dialog with the Oculus Support, they said they cannot solve my issue with Oculus Rift and Firefox.

I cannot find where to delete the browsing history? If I go to the privacy and security section of the settings, there is a delete cookies and cache but no history

I work at a school with 25 Lenovo Mirage VR S3 headsets. We have been using Firefox reality to watch YouTube videos by using the http://youtube.com site rather than http://m.youtube.com with no trouble to watch 360 videos. The videos would play perfectly, although occasionally you would have to change it from 360 Stereo to 360 mode.

Recently, I updated the headsets to version 12.2 of the Firefox Reality App and Youtube will no longer play YouTube videos in 360 using the desktop site. You get a fully white screen with a small triangle with part of the video in it. The App will play videos in the mobile site, but they are distorted and stretched which was the same before installing the update. You only get part of the video using the mobile site.

Is there a way to revert to a previous version of Firefox Reality, or to resolve the problem?

While wtching videos on the Reality browser, it usually shows an option to switch to a 3D format. This option still appears on videos that only exist in a 2D format. When I select the 3D option on a 2D video, it just splits the original screen and only shows half of it to each eye instead of creating a fullscreen stereoscopic image. I was wondering if it is supposed to work that way, and the 2D video input format is simply incompatible with that feature, or if there's a problem with my device/those specifc videos, and the feature is supposed to be able to convert any 2D input to stereoscopic 3D output, the same way some of those fairly old 3D televisions with adjustable depth settings could do. Many of the add-ons I regularly use to enhance workflow and browsing aren't available in the Reality browser, which seems to only have a much smaller library of extensions. The extensions I want to employ don't seem like they'd be particularly difficult to implement on my device, and don't seem to pose any major security risks. So, I was wondering if the broader range of Add-ons will become available soon on the reality browser, or if there are certain hidden settings, like those available in about:config in the desktop browser or a certain developer mode that could allow access to the Add-ons. As an example of what I mean, I usually employ the Video Speed Controller Add-on, which seems as though it would be easily compatible with my VR device setup, and roughly equivalent versions are available natively on certain websites like youtube and work without buffering or other issues on my device, so I was wondering why the add-on might not be approved for the Realiy browser. Today everything was fine until I tried to experiment with changing the background (environment) on Firefox Reality.

Something went terribly wrong!

I can't use the browser at all now, even after uninstalling and reinstalling several times.

As soon as I launch it, it begins reporting that it is downloading meadows.zip, cave.zip, space.zip, etc. from somewhere. I delete the files, quit the app, and relaunch, but it immediately starts these downloads again.

All of my metered data will be quickly used up if I use the browser, because it will all be used up for these useless downloads.

Meanwhile, I can't get any environments to actually load as a background except the black void and the red desert.

Until something is fixed, Firefox Reality is off limits for me.

I managed to sideload FirefoxReality-12-142410931-oculusvr3dofStore-arm64-release-signed-aligned.apk to update the Oculus store which does not update Oculus Go products. Despite updating the voice search presents a waveform but doesn't recognise words. It would be great if there is a simple fix or if someone could program it such that it works. I note this problem was there some months ago

I am disabled (severe visual impairment) and I have problems using Firefox Reality. App elements are too far away from my eyes. I cannot lean towards the screen because the screen moves away. Is there any option to bring Firefox Reality elements closer to my eyes?

Is it possible to rebuild Firefox Reality APK in Android Studios with tweaked position? I am not asking to make elements bigger because they are quite big - but only to bring them closer.

If I want to bring elements closer to my face I have to walk towards the screen but the distance I have to cover is in meters. This is not very practical solution.

I understand that this is a community board but maybe I could somehow contact Firefox Reality team and explain my problem? Sounds to me like easy fix that would help me big time.

Please make Firefox Reality more accessible for disabled people.
