Why the web sites won't work if connection type is changed after hybernate?

Prereq. Laptop+Win7+Firefox 3.6.13, LAN and WLAN available for separate networks, the laptop should go on stand-by when closing the cover. Steps: 1. with LAN cable on, start Firefox and navigate to any site 2. minimize Firefox and close the cover/lid -> computer goes to "sleep" 3. disconnect LAN cable 4. open lid -> windoes is resuming 5. connect to WLAN (not part of same network) 6. Maximize Firefox and navigate to the already open site or try to open new site ---> The sites won't work and firefox would say: Conneting to... connection timeout.
