How can I reuse an email to create a new account?

I had an account with my primary email, and wanted to change that email while also maintaining all the info I already had in it. So I added a secondary email, changed it to be my primary, and the deleted the secondary (ex-primary). The problem is: while trying to create a new account with my old primary email, it says that I need a valid primary email to login, but won't let me create a new account with it. ¿Can I actually do this, or will I need support from Mozilla?
