Where can I make an official feature request?
Is the community of users the only place? Do Firefox devs interact in a useful way in this forum? What is an irritated former Firefox user supposed to do? Just continue using Safari after key things I used daily are now broken?

Yes. No and : To submit suggestions for new or changed features, may I suggest: Feedback: https://qsurvey.mozilla.com/s3/FirefoxInput/
Well you could have turned on from within Firefox send info to Mozilla before posing as : Have no idea of what you are running, what extensions, or Video Card Drivers that can cause issues. No version # , But it is a Mac. You have not explained the issue/s in any clear and concise form, and actually there are no issues talked about to help you with.
So if you care to have Firefox Volunteer Support help you in any way. Please describe you issue/s
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
So you're telling me there's no official support, only volunteer community support. OK thanks
Well there is no call centres for one on one support by phone, chat, or email if that was what you were hoping for also. Mozilla does not have the resources to do so especially since it would be for free for well free products.
There is also the https://discourse.mozilla.org/c/firefox-development and Mozilla newsgroups and irc://irc.mozilla.org
Bugzilla.mozilla.org is used for tracking enhancements among many other things including actual bugs in something. It is however not used like a suggestion or feedback box.
