When I insert a hyperlink in a Word 2003 document and click on it, it directs Firefox to the Internet Explorer cache and fails to load the web page.
If for example, I create a hyperlink in a Word 2003 document to http://www.halifax.co.uk, save it and then click on it,
file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/tracy/Local%20Settings/Temporary%20Internet%20Files/Content.IE5/SDIBW5EV/home%5B1%5D.htm
is inserted in the address field of Firefox and Firefox reports a file not found error.

Firefox was not intended to interface with Word. Why not just copy the link address from the form to the clipboard and paste it into the address bar in Firefox?
